I first explored the idea of libraries as shelters for stories...
“You get to feel things, visit places and worlds you would never otherwise know.
You learn that everyone else out there is a me, as well. You’re being someone else, and when you return to your own world, you’re going to be slightly changed.”
— NEIL GAIMAN
Libraries are quiet sanctuaries of stories and secrets that store, archive, and protect stories of truth, beauty, and life of all nations and generations. They are a safe and free place to exchange, share, and find stories and ideas. Libraries are a refuge from the world that takes us away from home, yet finds a home for us everywhere.
I also wanted to communicate the idea of recognizing the value of life...something that perhaps we all take for granted much too often.
